RV Awnings-Looking For An RV Awning?
RV awnings are incredibly popular with rv owners and for good reason-awnings provide great functional performance and value to your recreational vehicle.
RV Awning
Many rv owners consider the rv awning to be the single most important accessory to maximize your enjoyment and use of your camping and traveling trips with your rv.
One thing you need to be aware of though is that if your rv is not fitted with an awning it can be a costly and problematic task to fit one to an existing rv so I would strongly suggest that you consider only buying an rv with one already factory fitted. A lot of motor home owners fit an awning on each window and have a large awning for the patio area. If you need to have your awnings fitted after purchase of your rv you will find that the fitter will have to do a bit of messy drilling to locate the supports to which he will need to fix the bolts or other fittings to properly secure your awning. Remember that if they are not fitted properly the wind and rain can put severe strain on your awnings thereby causing serious damage to the body of your vehicle.
One of the principal reasons for having an awning is protection from the sun-if you are fortunate enough to live or take your trips in sunny and warm climates then you will know that one of your biggest concerns is the heat which your rv will absorb and the knock on consequence of extensive use of air conditioning to ensure that your living area is nice and cool. Your exterior awning system will ensure that even though there is an initial cost of purchase and fitting, you will more than offset this with the reduced drag on your air conditioning system.
When you have your awnings fitted you can leave your windows open without worrying about your vehicle warming up like a sauna or getting drenched with rain if you choose to go on a hike or whatever. It is especially nice to be able to leave your windows open at night, particularly when it is warm, and the awnings allow you to do this without having to run the air conditioning.
You will find that if your awning fabric is quality you will get up to 15 years use from them and you can assemble and disassemble a patio awning in about 5 minutes without any help.
